The joystick of my H120 Iriver Jukebox is broken

(1/2) > >>

Like, physically broken. I can't select anything or depress the stick to access other menus. Is there a way to change the configuration for the keys so I can navigate with the buttons I have remaining?

AlexP:
Yes it is possible, but you'll need to edit apps/keymaps/keymap-h1x0_h3x0.c in the source code to behave as you want, then compile your own build.

See the developers section of the documentation for more information on how to compile (e.g. the wiki page SimpleGuideToCompiling might help).

GodEater:
Does the H120 even have enough buttons to make that possible ? I wouldn't have thought so...

Why not buy a remote for it and use that instead ?

Not really, no - it has four other buttons if you exclude the joystick - I suppose you could think of something where you can only change the volume from the menu, you can skip in the WPS but nothing else etc.

I think it is possible, but would not be at all easy to use, and many functions would be lost.  A remote seems the way forward.

I have the remote...or thought I had it. I haven't used it in about 4 years, so I may have lost it. Where does one buy a h120 remote anyway? I can't find anything online...
