Having problem with initializing my database

(1/2) > >>

tyip0217:
Hi, i was thinking to update the tags of all of my music, so i deleted everything from my player and try to transfer back all songs, but after i deleted all my songs (about 65xx tracks) the database still contain about 16xx tracks which is able to play. Now my question is how on earth did it manage to play a track which is not in the hard drive, and how to clean this up, thx

Llorean:
I'd check your recycle bin (or operating-system specific equivalent). Often "deleted" files aren't removed until the space is needed for something else, they're just moved somewhere hidden.

Chronon:
Rockbox's DiskTidy plugin should find and remove such orphaned folders and files.

tyip0217:
but surely theres not a recycle bin in an mp3 player, I've cleaned my recycle bin in mp pc so i can really tell if its deleted everything, but i don't see any files in the HD of my mp3 player (apart from the rockbox folder which doesn't contain any music file)

Chronon:
Why do you assume this?  Windows routinely leaves behind a "Recycled" folder on my players.
