Can't play video

i have my sandisk e250 rockboxed to most current version. but when i store a mp4 file to the video folder or any whereon the device, it does not play video, i only get audio play back.
how does one play video?

As has been pointed out, they need to be MPEG1/2.  See www.rockbox.org/wiki/PluginMpegplayer for details.

I am using an iPod video, and I am having problems with it too. I get a plug-in error. I put the MPEG-1 video onto the player using winamp, and open with the player, but it doesn't seem to want to work.
