Does it come from themes.rockbox.org, or are you talking about a theme from the wiki? Because the wiki is made by people like you, people who just post things there that may or may not work.

themes.rockbox.org is still user-generated content, but it should say whether something works with 3.2 or not because it runs a check on them.

But yes, there is a strong expectation for users to do something about it if they care. The entirety of Rockbox is a volunteer effort - everyone was a user once who has stepped in and decided to do something. You can choose not to, but having it suggested that you go ahead and fix it isn't being an ass. It's suggesting you take the very same steps we did.

it says right below the theme "works with 3.2 release" im sorry for my earlier post bad day but i think alexP is jerk reguardless =p i was just trying to be nice i tried messing around with the coding but the wiki page really didnt help much lol...ill look into it a lil more...it'd be nice to get some of the glass themes working again the only themes working now are kinda rough...no offense

also this is off topic but is there anyway of changes the voice in rockbox microsoft sam? to microsoft mary or anything else? i cant understand him at all lol...is it a matter of going in and swapping a few files or is it code?

What player is the theme for? What goes wrong when it doesn't work? How did you install it?

i installed it on ipod video 5.5g the .wps for the now playing screen doesnt show up with that theme...i ran it in the simulator too but i forget what it says most likely that line2 error something about pb...like all the old .wps themes...but i swear that one said it was for the 3.2 release...

Personal insults are not pleasant whether you put a smiley after them or not.  Please be civil in future.

You complained with no details at all that some user generated content does not work.  I pointed you at a resource that can help you fix it, with a similar amount of details.  I could have been more verbose, but I didn't feel like searching for all the details you omitted from your original post.

This is the first time that you have told us this - how were we supposed to guess?  Seriously, if you want help you really need to start helping us and supplying more details.  Your responses so far haven't exactly made me keen to help you.

I haven't looked at the WPS in question, but installing one meant for an iPod Photo on an iPod Video won't look good even if it does work.

yeah, i understand about the lacking of information in my post and i realize you probably look at a lot of these everyday and gave me a short answer because the detail i gave sucked and alla that. i apologize for the verbal abuse too i hate to start off on the wrong foot so i hope you accept my apologies. i did get the glow x theme but could not fix the .wps for it when i read the directions for the coding i cant understand why it stopped working? was the .wps in the theme written for an older version of rockbox and then the new release of rockbox reads an updated version of .wps? i dont understand what i should change in the code. but i did mix two themes together using a different play screen than theme and im pretty happy with that. i do have a question about about installing a new voice file for rockbox but should i post that in a different section? not in wps and appearance? or can i just ask it here.

No problem.  I don't think there is much point you trying to edit this one, as it is for an iPod Photo and you are trying to install it on an iPod Video.  The screen sizes are different and it will just look bad.  Any themes from themes.rockbox.org should work with both Rockbox 3.2 and with a current build.

For the voice file question, yes a new thread in the appropriate forum would be good.

 sweet yeah when i said about it being in the ipod photo section i had just realized that and gave up on it lol...i didnt know it was for the photo when i started this thread ill post the voice question in the appropriate section
