.m3u for SD card
BruceHP:
I can make a m3u Playlist in internal memory for things in Internal memory on my Sansa e200, and an m3u Playlist on the SD for things on the SD card, but if I make an m3u playlist in internal memory for files on the SD card they won't play.
Where am I going wrong? Thanks!
Chronon:
Are you saying that the location where you save a playlist consisting of tracks located on your microSD card determines whether or not the playlist works?
I will mention that the internal storage and the microSD card don't form a monolithic storage space. The microSD card gets mounted in the filesystem at /<microSD1>/ if I recall correctly.
BruceHP:
The internal storage playlist works for file stored internally and the playlist stored on the SD card works for files stored on the SD card, but, if I make a playlist of files stored on the SD card and store that playlist internally it won't play the files on the SD card.
My guess is that I don't know how to make the Playlist properly.
Chronon:
Then tell me how you're making the playlist. If you make it using Rockbox there shouldn't be any problems. If you're using some external desktop application then you may run into problems due to it seeing a different path than Rockbox does (as I suggested in my previous post).
Posting a snippet from one of these playlists will help give people a better idea about what's going on here.
BruceHP:
Well, after reading the Manual a couple of more time and playing around a bunch I found that there were a bunch of gimmicks not in the Manual.
I had to restart the player before the Playlists wound take affect. I also had to press the Play/Pause to clear the Context menu after starting playback of a Playlist selection. These occur when using Playlists created in Rockbox, but not in the Playlists from MediaMonkey.
But, the Playlists from Rockbox do indeed Play things stored on the SD card while the MM ones don't.
Thanks !
