Battery Power is gone when I switch from the regular firmware over to rockbox.

I just put a new battery in my ipod video 30gb not too long ago. I charge it up all the way and it works fine, but when I switch it over from the regular firmware to rockbox, it says I have no power and my ipod dies.  It won't stay charged in rockbox mode either. What should I do? I just wrote my own theme too and put it on there, I only had problems with it since then, could the theme be causing any problems?

Try to reboot your ipod (switch HOLD to on, then back to off, then press MENU+SELECT for about 10 seconds).
