iPod 3G with CF card? (was "Help!")

Hi, first of all thanks for your work.
Anybody could tell me if you've managed to operate a 3G ipod old with rockbox and compact flash?
If so Please let me know say that model of card, compact flash adapter is, and the shop to buy.
I have read on the internet that this model gives ipod problems for this cuestion.
