Gigabeat F Remote
« on: May 09, 2009, 04:08:43 PM »
Is there a way to use the buttons on the remote to change to the next folder?  Also trying certin combinations freezes the player.
Vollume down/up+Next/Previous Track: Song stops playing and the >> icon is showed but does nothing. I have to press and hold the power button to shut it down.
I have the current build

You should be able to do the corresponding button combo to the one you use on the plus pad.  I.e. Short FF + Long FF should skip to the next directory.

If you can cause Rockbox to hang by pressing certain button combinations you should report this as a bug.

Please give actual revision numbers. "Current" means nothing by the time most people read posts, and seems to mean different things to different users anyway.

Try the combo I mentioned earlier (short FF + long FF).  It works for me on my Gigabeat.  Still, you should file a bug report if pressing key combinations on the remote causes Rockbox to crash.
