sansa e280 v1 with 8gig; sd card not seen

I pulled the card out and put it directly into a usb port and my computer sees it fine.  rockbox info on the sansa shows it but mediamonkey can't see nor can my computer.  It doesn't matter which usb mode, it show up in neither.

Please help.

The most current version. I just reinstalled and I still get the Sansa Connect screen when I connect to USB too.

"The most current version" doesn't really answer the question.  Are you talking about the release version, 3.2?  Or a current build?  USB is not enabled in 3.2, but it is enabled in the current builds.
