Ipod Nano DEAD...
« on: May 08, 2009, 08:59:35 PM »
I recently deleted the boot file (damn avast thought it was a virus). And it now refuses to boot up even if I connect it to the computer. Any solutions?

Still nothing happening.
Even when I connect it to the computer via USB it still shows a blank screen.

Hold the buttons until it responds.  It can take much longer than it says on that Apple support page.

The button combination should always work unless the hardware has failed somehow.  How long did you hold the buttons?  Did you slide the Hold switch on then off first?
