Before i get started i just want to say
Great work on the latest release of Rockbox 3.2 I never said it before because i never signed up until now
i came back to this website thinking maybe there is something new and there was. Please continue this project do not ever stop I love it and it is very unique. Yes my ipod is old but it is soo unique my friends envy me because their ipods and other mp3 players can not support this.

This thread is about the Gameboy emulator though. Is there any chance that emulation will be 100%. It would be nice if i could play the gameboy color games 100% with sound. I have Rock box 3.2 and Ipod Linux installed on my fist generation ipod nano 1 gig. It also has the little boot screen so i can choose what i want to load. Yes i know ipod linux plays the gameboy games at 100% but it does not play gameboy color. I was told that it can but i do not know how to get it to play them. I think it has something to do with the New and Old kernels, but honestly after youve read this you see my point. Playing gameboy game on your ipod nano has to be the coolest thing ever especially because of its size. I love it and i love the games that come with rock box. I also like how they brought back space rocks and i get the matrix visualizer.

Please continue this project, im still waiting to see if you guys will better the gameboy emulator and maybe even make rockbox work on that ipod nano 3rd and 4th gen. I dont own those but that would be nice.

Ps. Yes i know ipod touch and the iphone community is booming with all sorts of media and homebrew thanks to it being jailbroken so a lot of people are more focused on them, but seriously ignore that lol i still love my ipod touch but i love my nano more!

The issue is that Rockbox is a volunteer project. i.e. the people who can code work on whatever they decide to, and that usually is focussed on music playback rather than the emulators.

Of course, the beauty of an open-source project like this is that anyone can step up to the plate and improve whatever they want, so if you're after 100% compatibility then feel free to submit a patch that acheives this end.

OOoo i did not know that there was a huge team of people submitting great work for this outstanding project. Well sadly im no coder, im just one of those fanboys out there that likes to see if there is anything unique to do to his devices. The way i found out about this project was out of bredum. i just googled "gameboy on ipod" not really expecting to find anything and sure enough i did. This was back on the first release of rockbox. I wish i could contribute a patch or something to help the gameboy emulator out, but honestly im just glad this project is still up and running because it was a while ago when the 3.0 version was released and even before that it took a while.

Ps. sorry about posting in the wrong spot, i noticed this thread was moved. I just wanted to say how much i like this project, so i signed up and posted this thread.
