(1/1)

Bagder:
Hey friends,

Today I made a little video on how to build rockbox from source. Some of you might like it:

Very nice and informative. It covers everything needed to get started. :)

I'll recommend this video to people who are getting started with compiling their own builds of Rockbox.

I diffenately agree, in fact I am about half way done with my own video on how to do this, but since somebody already did it, I guess I dont really need to spend anymore time on mine, and just direct people to this one.

why doesnt this get added to one of the guides to compiling to help new users, and so they can  see this before asking questions that are answered in the video?

Bagder:
Allow me to also mention that I hope to make a few more screencasts in the near future (as I thought it was fun and well received!). If you have ideas of what other subjects to cover, let me know.

Ideas that have appeared so far:

* patching (apply, remove, make your own, sync one that mismatches)
* build cross-compilers / setup PATH in bash config
* installing rockbox using rbutil

froggyman:
i would diffentately like to see the one on patching and how to sync out of snc patches
