My sansa e250r won't turn on, but only the light on the ring is on

I was going through my sansa e250r and I went to the file cleanup section of the rockbox firmware and when i clicked on it, it said it was cleaning the files or something like that. I tried to exit it out but it wouldn't, so I just let the battery run out. Now whenever I try turning on my sansa just the blue ring lights up. HELP!

Also, this symptom happened to me, and this fixed it.

So how do I do it? Do I turn it on first and click on the black thing above the battery or something else? Thank you for your help so far!

I would try the software fix before assuming your hardware is broken.

Do you need Ubuntu for the software fix?
