Help changing / compiling lang files

I'm trying to edit the english.lang file in order to change the "Rockbox" string on the main menu. I changed the string in the source .lang file but when I get to compiling the .lang file into a .lng file, I can't use the -i switch because I don't know the ID number for my build (iPod nano.) It says to refer to the configure script, but the script crashes at line 1. I've been following the instructions in the wiki.

Open the configure script with a text editor and search for your player.

Alternatively, you can setup the build environment and then run the script to get the id number.
