Big problems after rockbox uninstall want my old ipod back

I installed rockbox on my ipod 5th gen video sometime ago but decided i didn't want it anymore so i uninstalled it but not 100% ,i just deleted the rockbox files and everything seemed fine but now im having bad problems. Black line in the middle of the screen and it cant play a song with out it randomly pausing constantly. I just want my ipod to work like it did before ,it dont care what firmware i have in it ,just as long as i can play music a ease without it glitching.

and the firmware is my last resort

If you've restored it, there's no trace or part of Rockbox still on it. Your iPod has hardware issues.

hi..... i successfully uninstalled rockbox on my ipod 1st gen... but i cant get the music back from the original ipod.. can you help me? i wanted it back but apperently its still empty... why?

i used the ipod patcher... where you can press "I" and "U" to install and uninstall... after that i deleted the .rockbox folder... and the others that was not on the original setting.. after doing so... i though the old music would come back to the original firmware... which is the ipod firmware... but its still empty... plss explain...

Installing Rockbox doesn't remove your music. Removing Rockbox won't restore music you've removed otherwise.

what i mena is that after i installed the rockbox... the music on my origainal ipod was gone... but its like being transfered to the rockbox firmware, after uninstalling it.. its still empty on the roiginal firmware...

As Llorean said, installing Rockbox doesn't move or delete any of your original music files. Uninstalling doesn't move or delete your original files either.

If the files are all physically present in /iPod_Control/Music/F##/, then it's likely that Apple's database got corrupted somehow.  If you have problems with Apple's firmware then you should take it up with them.  http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa

Are you trying to recover files that were on your iPod before you restored it, or after?  When you restored it, you erased everything that was on the iPod, so you will not be able to recover files that were there before you did that.

If that's the case, you still *might* be able to recover *something* with one of those recovery programs (check Google for "fat32 file recovery", there's a million of 'em), but I wouldn't count on it being exactly intact.

dexpal is not the original poster in this thread and never mentioned doing anything other than using ipodpatcher to remove the bootloader and then delete the .rockbox folder.  stevio is the OP and mentioned playback and display issues, but nothing about "missing" files.
