JPEG converter plugin?

So Rockbox only has jpeg as a plugin, not in core so album art can be shown on the WPS as a jpeg. But, if it could be converted to bmp by a Rockbox plugin, than one would not need to convert it beforehand. (jpeg in core is still the best solution--once it happens)

Have you followed Unhelpful's progress on jpeg in core?  You may want to check the IRC logs if not.

would it be wise to use jepg or still keep the .bmp files i have already created? im talking about image quality wise and speed with rockbox trying to load the albumart

Try it and see - jpg support is now in the official builds and it seems to be fast enough to me.
