Obviously the host operating system is different, but since DOSBox is open source, is a RockBox port possible?

If the C++ parts are unneeded, or can be converted to C and the code is either fixed point, or converted to fixed point, sure.

If you were to get DosBox on rockbox players, it would be incredibly slow and text input would be a pain.  It would be nice to run some old DOS programs though.
