MozzaC:
Here is the topic of the problems I have had leading up to this:
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=21402.0

Now that's all over, I go to start recording and even before I've started pre-recording I'm getting this message despite the iRiver actually being empty. Also when I go to see my plug-ins it just takes me to the Files screen, but I guess that's not relevant on this forum.

Would just going to Format my iRiver via My Computer and then reinstalling the Bootloader + RockBox be a quick fix for all this or just create more problems?

It's a HP120 btw. (Which is an acronym for By the Way.)

I don't see it hurting anything or causing more problems, you can give a it a try. However that would not be guarenteed to help anything as a permanent fix though but it may help temporarily.

please remember to use real english words, as discribed in the forum rules.

Febs:
Before resorting to formatting, which is almost certainly not necessary, try these things:

1.  Go to System --> Rockbox Info.  Press the select button.  Rockbox should scan the disk and recalculate how much free space is available.

2.  Check for file system corruption using chkdsk or a similar utility.

According to RockBox info I have 12 gigabytes free but I still get the same message when trying to records.

Format worked, thanks to everyone for the help. VERY much appreciated.
