Playback by folder structure and not by mp3 metadata

A lot of the music I have on my e200 series does not have ID3 information (I try and remove ID3 tags from all of my music) and I think this is causing a problem with my player not recognizing a good few of the songs I have on my Sansa. For instances, when viewing the player in windows in MTP mode, I have all of a certain bands albums on there. When browsing the file structure on the player (I just updated the database and I'd just installed Rockbox) I only see a couple of the albums for said artist and the "misc" folder or whatever is only has a single song in it.

Is there a way to have Rockbox play through the folders of music as folders instead of building up a database based on file metadata?

Llorean:
There's an option in the main menu for browsing the file tree, yes. This is described in the manual, and it's right there in the main menu.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I know about the browsing the file tree option. What I'm alluding to is probably more along the lines of "music library generation based on folder structure" or even something like a "Play All" option at the root of a Music folder.

For example, my music is all organized like \Music\Artist - Album, so a play all of \Music\ would then in turn start at the first folder in Music, play through it (recursively) and then move on to the next. A shuffle on this would allow it to jump around the folder structure, not using the "database" Rockbox generates.

Is this sort of capability already available? Is this something I could write a plugin for or change the currently existing source to do?

Llorean:
Select the "Music" folder and choose "Insert" or "Insert Shuffled" via the context menu. Do the same to any folder you wish to play through the contents of sequentially or shuffled.

Context menus! Whodathunkit! Thanks again.
