c250 w/griffin power dock

(1/3) > >>

drphillips:
I am trying to get my c250 to play through a Griffin Power dock audio out port.  I am using the current build r20774-090421 and the bootloader from flyspray FS#9955.  The Power Dock model is 9211-SNSADK (see pics).

The usb plug on the back is power only since I am using a power adapter and not a pc usb port.

If I boot into the original OS the port works but not when Rockbox is loaded.

Can someone point me in the right direction?  I think this should work work because the dock is passive and is not communicating with the device.

Thanks for all the help.

Strange - it works fine with an e2x0 and Rockbox, but a c2x0 doesn't work.

dreamlayers:
It is interesting that firmware/drivers/audio/as3514.c has an audiohw_set_lineout_vol() function, yet that function is not called.   Some other targets call it from set_prescaled_volume() in firmware/sound.c.  Here's an altered build, where that function is called:

saratoga:
I'm 99% sure we don't actually setup the line out volume right on the e200.  I think we just feed lineout whatever level the headphone jack is, so thats probably why lineout_vol never gets called.

yapper:
On the e200, the dock Line Out volume varies as the e200 volume is adjusted. In other words, it tracks the headphone level (as saratoga said).
