Is there some memtest feature in rockbox?
« on: April 17, 2009, 12:18:23 PM »
I've recently bought an iPod Video upgraded to 240GB (previously iPod Video 80GB, as seller promised; and it shows in HD Tune as 60GB HDD), so i'm using unsupported rmaniac's build; but i doubt if this is the cause of my issue. It is that ipod will hang while playing mp3s for about 3-10 seconds - sometimes it says "data abort", sometimes "prefetch abort", sometimes "unsupported instruction", and most of the time hangs silently.
After a few hours of trials i've installed 32MB version instead of 64MB one and it seems to work. So, i think now that the problem was either in the device being ipod video 30gb originally or in broken ram somewhere in 32-64MB area.
Can i someway run some memory tests or, at least, describe what amount of RAM does it really have?
Thanks in advance.
And, please, forgive me my bad english...

60GB/80GB ipods having only 32MB of RAM is actually fairly common
