Suggestion for the iPod Video 30GB (Windows/FAT32 drive)

Hi there people,

New user here. I just downloaded Rockbox for the iPod Video 30GB, and I'm loving it. Super program, and for once, I can boost the volume (WOOH!).

But I realised a few things that I thought I could bring up for suggestion (or if someone could kindly point out where I would find it on the website if it's already up):

1) Is there a setting somewhere in Rockbox where I can enable "Compilation" mode? This is useful, for I have a lot of compilation albums, and would like to sort through them quicker than going through the album menu (it also filters the artists lists by removing the artist entries that ONLY appear on compilations). It would also be cool if during compilation mode, the compilations are moved to the Compilation list, and out of the Album list. Would this be possible?

2) Would it also be possible to adjust font size (small, medium, large) within the iPod? I find the current size (using the cabbiev2 theme) to be a bit too small, and because of this, it makes it difficult to read when in surroundings that are dark AND bright, as well as in situations when there is blurred vision. Anything to do about this?

I must say, I'm grateful for what you people have put together here at Rockbox, and I be sure that I will give a donation for your troubles!

1): For this issue rockbox has a special handling of the albumartist tag: when the albumartist tag is empty, them the database fills it with the artist tag.
So the solution for that problem is to fill the albumartist tags of your compilation songs with something like "various artists" and use the albumartist category instead of artist to browse your music. Then all compilations are grouped together and the other albums appear as usual.

2): You can just load a different sized font, but most themes depend on a certain font size, so the best solution would be to choose a different theme that uses the desired font size.

2) I found out that Rock Box hadn't properly installed, upon recompleting the installation, I was able to change the fonts using the settings menu.

Additionally, I also noticed that when I take my iPod off hold, there tends to be a lag time when Rock Box responds to my commands. eg. When I take the iPod off hold, and I attempt to pause the track, I have to wait for some time before it responds. Is this normal?
