What Size files can Rockbox handle for JPEG viewer?

Some JPEG files can't be viewed or zoomed in on because of their size. This occurs often if I am listening to music and viewing photos at the same time. What is the optimum size of files for RockBox to handle?  (I am using a 5G 80GB Ipod Video)
