Sansa E260 V1. Connecting to USB and SD cards
davekaye:
When I plug my Sansa into my USB port one of two things happen. Most of the time, there is a "connected" screen from the original Sansa firmware. Other times, and more seldom, a Rockbox screen loads with a picture of a USB plug. When the Sansa screen loads I can't access the SD card (SD or SDHC). It shows a file letter on My Computer, but it says no card is inserted. When the Rockbox USB picture comes up, I can see the SD/SDHC card and can load stuff on to it.
I have updated to the lastest Sansa Firmware 01.02.24A, and Rockbox V3.2-090323. Does anybody know how to get the Sansa E260 V1 to connect to Windows XP with the Rockbox firmware showing and not the Sansa stuff. Thank you.
saratoga:
Your build doesn't have rockbox USB enabled, so you're using the OF's USB. That means SD but no SDHC in USB mode. If you want to use SDHC, you'll have to update to the current build, which has USB enabled in rockbox.

Thank you. I had forgot about that. It seems that USB for Rockbox/Sansa is only available in the Develop/Build, so maybe I'll just load the SDHC card from my PC and wait until it shows up in a current release. Thank you for the prompt response.

davekaye: I was in the same boat as you, but I got impatient and decided to take my chances with the dev build. I have yet to encounter a single problem, I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Antan:
To Krewl or anyone else who may know, I am running the current 3.2 build. I have put music files onto my 4GB SDHC card but those files do not appear in the database.
I was going to try a Dev Build but wasn't sure which one to go with.
