Cowon D2 or D2+ ?

Hello,
i want to buy a new mp3-player the next days (a cowon d2 or d2+). I have read that there are no changes in hardware from the d2 to the d2+ (so that the d2+ software can be used with the normal D2). Because of the Design i would prefer the D2+ ... but will Rockbox for D2 also work with the D2+ (i think it should, but i am not sure and that would be a strong criterion in deciding which one i will buye).

We're not certain if the D2+ will accept the current D2 code, but remember that the Cowon D2 is not a supported target yet. It's still only meant for developer use.

I Know that it is in development, but i have to buy the player the next days and cannot wait until the development is done (if it will ever). So i am unsure if i should buy the d2+ or the normal d2. (I would use Rockbox imho only when i need gapless play ... and as far if i know this function is available with the actual dev-builds. But i have a lot of auiobooks that ar cuttet very unprecice and so this function is not unimportant to me).

Perhaps of interest to the Rockbox developers is that people have successfully flashed their D2 with D2+ firmware (Cowon warns the player can be bricked if not careful) so the hardware can't be too different.
