Database Ignore function

What, exactly, do you mean by "text file"?

I create a new wordpad file and name it database.ignore Can you please give me a step by step to what I should be doing??? Bear in mind I am a bit of a simpleton when it comes to these things  :)

Hi, if you have problems creating the file, then you can simply copy the database.ignore file which is inside the .rockbox directory.

It's probably what Llorean said - Windows hiding the true file extension from you.  Wordpad probably just created a file called "database.ignore.rtf".  Check this setting: http://www.fileinfo.com/help/windows-show-extensions.html
