ipod video 30gb - "use itunes to restore..." etc.

i can't make this thing alive
connecting to itunes gives nothing, progress of restore getting to end, ipod rebooting and i see the same message "use itunes to restore"
i've tried to use Rockbox Utility, but again, i see an error, "failed to add bootloader"
ipod is defined as the drive, but it's empty
need help :)

Try putting it into Emergency Disk mode ( toggle the hold switch, then hold Menu+Select, and then as soon as the apple logo appears press Select+Play/Pause)

after doing that, then try to restore it with iTunes, if it still doesnt work, it might be a hardware problem, but I could be wrong.

what went wrong? was it able to enter disk mode? It should be able to do this. you may have to hold menu+select for up to 60 seconds, try it a few more times it will most likely work eventually.

no, i can enter disc mode without problems, but itunes don't restore ipod

You might try Apple's Diagnostic Mode.  Maybe that can help you pinpoint what's wrong with it.
