Can't display Album Artwork - IPOD Video 60GB

(1/1)

kylemcgee:
Hello -

I have what I a hope will be a simple question...

I have the above mentioned IPOD with the latest version of Rockbox software installed (3.2). It just occurred to me the other day that I have never been able to display album artwork. I have tried many different mp3s and many different themes, but I have never seen any artwork.

Any thoughts? Is there a switch somewhere I need to turn on?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Kyle

Take a look at this wiki page.  It should answer any questions you have about album art:

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=AlbumArt

If you have any further questions after reading that page, please let us know.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like too much work to get the album art to display. I am a big fan of Rockbox, but I wish we didn't have to give up album art (without a lot of work) and video playback.

Take care -

We're interested in improving album art support, so fee free to work on it.

The amount of work depends on how you copy your music to the player.  I have each album in a folder and a cover.bmp in each folder.  Easy.

Even if you use itunes (which scrambles filenames and sticks the songs in odd directories), I'm sure there are programs out there that will auto-rename album art to e.g. artist-album.bmp
