Audio skip withtin first few minutes of playback on Ipod video
« on: April 07, 2009, 12:30:06 PM »
I just recently picked up a refurbished 30gig Ipod video and installed rockbox on it.  I have discovered that when I turn the unit on and start playback a song will play for a minute or so then the unit will seem to lock up with the music stopping and all the buttons not working for about 10-20 seconds then it will resume and continue working fine for as long as it's turned on.  It only happens after initial startup.  Any idea's on what could be causing this?

Is directory cache enabled?  If so, does disabling it fix the problem?

I tryed the directory cache but that didn't seem to effect it.  I played around with settings a bit more and found that I had auto scan turned on for the database...Turning that off fixed the problem...  It seemed like a good idea to have it on when I was configuring everything initially but thinking about it now as long as I remember to scan everytime I add music it shouldn't be necessary.  I'll just leave it off and I think that should fix it.
