New rockbox user - patience please
« on: April 05, 2009, 05:35:44 PM »
Ok, I have a Sandisk e260 that I just loaded RB on. I can play songs that had already been loaded (via windows media player) and works great. But when I plug my e260 in my PC and start up windows media player to add more albums to the e260, I can't display any albums/songs from the mp3 e260 player. Says "There are no files on this device." I'm a beginner so I'd appreciate some guidance.

Regards,
Farrell

so you have the device in MSC usb-mode?
it should then be recognized as an external drive
open my computer is there an added drive letter when plugged in?
if so you just drag & drop WMP not needed !  ;D

I think the original firmware stores the music in a hidden folder so tha may explain why you can't see it.
