Computer can't read iPod Nano 1st Gen.
Zur1aga:
After I had installed Rockbox and then disconnected my iPod from my computer and then I had to recharge it....But when I try to connect it to my computer, the computer doesn't read it or shows up in the computer or iTunes. In the iPod screen says that it "Ok to Disconnect". I need some help to reconnect it to my computer and add more songs and video.
froggyman:
And also when it is on the "OK to disconnect" screen and plugged into a USB port, is there a little charging symbol on the top of the screen? if there is it is most likely connected to the computer, and you most likely just safely removed/ejected it from your computer so then iTunes wouldnt be detecting it. If that is the case then just disconnect your iPod, reboot it for rockbox to load and then plug it in to the computer's USB port.
Zur1aga:
But I don't know how to do it......Instructions please...Thank you
froggyman:
Do what?, please be specific.
bluebrother:
If the Ipod displays "Ok to disconnect" it's running in Apples disk mode. This has nothing to do with Rockbox, and I'm quite sure this is an issue of your PC or the USB connection. Try a different PC, different cable and different USB port. If you use a hub between PC and Ipod try without.
