Thinking of upgrading hd in my f40

Hi all,

I'm interested in upgrading the hard drive in my Gigabeat F40.  40 is too small for me now  I searched the forums for some threads on this but I couldn't find anything.  Also the wiki only talks about upgrading the X60 drive.  Basically, I just wanted to know if it's possible to upgrade the drive?  What are some of the things I should look out for?  I plan on reading up on the surgery beforehand.  Anyone know what type drive this is offhand and any good retailers which would sell larger capacity replacement drives?

Do you need an adapter for the replacement drive?

It depends upon the drive.  See HardDriveReplacement for more information.  Large capacity drives will require an adapter.  I think the 50-pin drives only go up to 80GB.
