Database %limit seems not to be working...

(1/1)

bzavala:
Hi all,

this is strange.. I swear it was working from an update from last week seems like the %limit argument is broken; just to make sure I took today's compile:

r20599-090401

and my database entries where the format has %limit = "xx" don't seem to be working (so it brings everything without using the %limit argument)

an example of one of my format entries is:

%format "f_least_played_15" "%2d|%3d %s (%s) playcount autoscore title artist %limit = "15"

Is anybody else having this problem?

Thanks in advance

EDIT (04/06/09):

OK It works BUT:

When I select the Database menu item "Least 15 played", looks like the Rockbox first searches all of the entries (in this case it says Searching... 1800 found)  and reaches the total songs that matches my criteria, THEN it filters out the first 15 rows. This didn't used to be like this, probably 3 months ago when I had last updated rockbox. So currently it takes about 3-4 mins to first find all of the matching rows, then filter by the %limit%, when it used to be pretty fast and select and filter the 15 songs in just a couple of seconds.

I installed the build from March 06 from the daily build page (http://download.rockbox.org/daily/ipodvideo64mb/) and the same thing happens. I want to go back to find where this changed, but looks like this link only has up to one month of daily backups... is there another link where I can download the build from say, 2 or 3 months ago?

I will report my findings.

Thanks in advance!

Ben

UPDATE (04/06/09)

After deleting the whole .rockbox folder and just copying even the latest build, the issue above is not happening anymore. I am not sure what the problem was.. could it have been the nvram.bin file?

Anyways, my database entry with %limit% is working as expected now...
