modify play count?
(1/1)
mat429:
Hi,
I use the "most played plays/score" feature within the database quite a lot to generate playlists.
unfortunetly, i have the habit of leaving my player switched on and playing - this has the annoyance of quickly bringing tracks to the top of the playcount which arent necessarily those i want to always listen to.
is there a way of modifying the playcount manually ... ?
thanks
mat

If you're going through to manually edit playcounts, why don't you just go through and manually add things to playlists?

Hi, - thanks for the response
I do, create / modify playlists as well. on some occasions though, i like to listen to this feature as it turns up some interesting trends in music i listen to but might not traditionally add to a playlist.
I just like the automation of it all and it gives me a good mix of my tracks
Its just unfortunate that i have ended up with some tracks at the top of this list that i dont want there. I could wait for them to naturally filter down the list, but with 4000 tracks in total this would take a long time.
i was just wondering if there was a mechanism by which hand manipulation of the playcount was technically possible?
Ta
Mat

I don't know of an easy way. However, you could try exporting modifications and edit the resulting database_changelog.txt accordingly. Then import the edited database_changelog.txt and you should be able to achieve what you want.
