Backdrop Retention after turning off Ipod

Hi I've loaded backdrops using context menu on file browser but each time I turn off ipod the loaded backdrop is lost and reverts back to the theme backdrop. As per the manual I've moved the image to backdrop file within rockbox when connected via USB but the backdrop retention is still not working...

Am I missing something here?

Would appreciate some help

By "Within rockbox" do you mean "within the .rockbox folder?" The . is important.

Also, are you actually browsing in that folder to select that copy of the backdrop, or are you still selecting one somewhere else?
