Theme buiding

I love The different themes you all create. I would like to be able to do this. I have some graphics programs with which I am fairly proficient. The rest is a mystery. Could someone steer me in the right direction of study to be able to make themes? I own a Sansa e280 by the way.

you might want to study some theme file to get an overview of how things work and can be put together. the syntax is documented on the CustomWPS wiki page (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=CustomWPS)
