Sansa E200 Reeboots into origian firmware with USB when off.
(1/1)
madnut:
Before it was useful since rockbox didn't support USB.
Its annoying since when i have a turned off sansa or one that has a drained battery and i plug in a USB it starts up the original firmware and of course sits there for an hr updating database. I have no need for original firmware so it would be nice if someone disabled the automatic booting into original firmware when USB is plugged in when the sansa is off.
dreamlayers:
Use the bootloader from: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9955

what dreamlayers said pretty much sums it up.
but ill just add in a few words...
when you get the bootloader (.zip file) you do a 'sansapatcher.exe -a PP5022.mi4' (without the ') when connected to it. (i would boot original firmware when doing that just to be safe as i aint sure how this will work if your using USB mode within Rockbox)
p.s. those boot loaders work great for me so now i dont have to mess with original firmware anymore and a nice side effect of doing that is it (the original firmware) dont keep creating those pointless folders every single time you have to transfer files to the Sansa device since you never need to boot into original firmware anymore unless you happen to mess something up with Rockbox.
