Rockbox player
« on: March 20, 2009, 10:29:08 AM »
hey all,

First of all let me introduce myself.  I'm an Electrical Engineer and I enjoy doing electronics and programming 24/7. I belive I'm born  just to do this
I've played around several MCUs(Most of 'em from Atmel and Microchip) and DSPs(Ti) a lot. I'm just 24, but started electronis @13. WowI talked too much!!

I've been implementing the DSPdap2 built around Ti's C550x DSP, but Atmel's ARM9 with free development environment sounds great and great!! Lately, I was studying the SAM9261 and wondering how they brought all the computer on the silicon!!! except that they are available only in BGA, which is hard to solder using ordinary tools.

So I want to contribute to this project, how would I start?

I would say just hang out in the IRC channel, get a feel for the group - see where you fit in.

Hello :-)

We have the DSPdap project as a reference ;-)

Please come and join us at: http://groups.google.com/group/rockboxplayer

We really need more developers. And we are using the Atmel AT91SAM9260.

Project page: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/RockboxPlayer -- we are working for host one specific project page on Sourceforge using Drupal, just like the DSPdap ;-)
