Three issues I have encountered. Can anyone help me?
djnforce9:
I see. Anyhow, here is my report with the newest firmware version: Llorean asked me to try and replicate #2 and #3 with the latest SVN so Here are the results:
#2: It's better than it was before. It no longer shows a completely wrong track but rather just the "?" if I skip too fast.
#3: The vertical lines still show up upon powering down.
Anyhow, I'm going to now roll back to v3.1 again since the latest SVN will not charge the battery when the USB cable is plugged in (does not reset on USB connected screen and doing so manually just gives me error #1 again and again until I unplug the USB cable). I look forward to future versions of this software.
Chronon:
The difference in behavior between Rockbox 3.1 and current SVN builds is the inclusion of a native USB mode in Rockbox. Prior to that change Rockbox would automatically boot into Apple's Disk Mode.
Llorean:
If it just shows the ?, that usually means "the track isn't fully buffered yet." Does it go away after a few seconds?

Ah that makes perfect sense then (no wonder the charging screen in 3.1 looked so familiar). So the device IS in fact recharging then when it shows that screen? I can't find anything on screen that would indicate this. Then again, I have to remember that I am still new to the software so the icon is probably there yet I am not recognizing it amongst the bunch of tiny icons up at the top. Also seems that the SVN uses a new driver too since it triggered the "Add new hardware" application on my PC and installed the drivers accordingly.

Nope. it hangs on the "?" (I gave it at least 30 or so seconds to buffer). Clicking next or previous afterwards updates the next track naturally.
Chronon:
Is a small plug icon visible next to the battery meter?
I can't reproduce the "?" behavior with my Gigabeat F40. I can make question marks appear very briefly, then they are replaced with the correct information (using r20338).
