Sansa e280 Battery Charging Probs

Hello,
Ive been loving rockbox, but I have had the problem I cannot charge the battery in any shape way or form. Ive tried car charger, Ive tried computer and Ive tried the wall charger as well. The batter indicator does say charging but beyond that nothing.

I have installed rockbox 3.1 but I read the batter option wasnt added till weeks later? Do I have to install that manualy? Any help is greatly appretiated!

Just use the original firmware for charging if you use rb 3.1 to do that press |<< after you have inserted the usb cable. this is documented in the manual so read that first.

You have to install a build with charging, yes.  Update.

After the one use (before the post) I have not been able to get it to charge in Original os or rockbox, Ive reinstalled 3.1 and bootloader 5.

Before I updated to 5 I could see the rockbox screen when connected to usb, and defenetly always when connecting to the wall power cable.
Now both times it only goes to the original firmware and doesnt charge the battery, any ideas?

3.1 doesn't have charging, so you need to install a newer build if you want to charge in rockbox.  Try todays build, or any from the last few months.

And do I install it with the utility?

Oh, and if youre using rockbox utility there's an option to just get the current build instead of the release build.

Did that, even went as far as changing the battery.
Upon new battery I saw the charge was full, and it didnt drain as fast as the old.

However, again half way and cannot charge it.
If I boot in original os and plug to the wall, within minutes the battery indicator is full green
But when I unplug its half way
If I charge on rockbox it indicates charging and after 6 hrs doesnt charge.
Updating to the current build right now
