i noticed on the 'Major Changes Since v3.1' page it says this...
"2009-02-29: New alternative sorting algorithm, which is number-aware"
is that the reason why my songs aint playing in the order they are supposed to?
because there sorta named like this...

02.
03.
all the way to "16." in the folder i tested using the 'database' and there .ogg files (if that matters) with all the tag data... they used to work fine in v3.1 but now it seems the order they play in is all messed up instead of playing them like it used to (and should be) which was 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 it sorta goes from song 01 to 16, 14, 02, 10, 08, (and it's sorta random to from what i can tell
)
any suggestions?

EDIT #2: somehow the 'shuffle' was turned on
, is that on by default or did i accidentally turn it on? ... so in other words i think my problem is fixed it appeared to be 'shuffle = yes' that was the issue as when it's 'shuffle = no' everything works like it's supposed to
