Question about audiobook resuming (before installing)

(1/1)

HQ:
I have an ipod video (5th gen) and I'm thinking of installing the rockbox.  Before I do that I wanted to ask if there is a feature to resume long mp3's from the place they were last listened to.  I listen to audiobooks in mp3 and they are usually 1 long mp3.

Also I have an ihome and listen to the books while it is docked.  I use a remote to start and pause it.

I've searched the forum before asking, but if the answer is there I've missed it.
Thanks,
Brenda (HQ)

LambdaCalculus:
There's a bookmark feature in Rockbox that allows you to "mark" a spot on an audio file and return to it later. It's especially useful for things like radio plays, audiobooks, and podcasts.

Check out the manual for more information.

Llorean:
I believe bookmarking and resuming playback are described in the manual. The best place to see if a feature is supported is the manual, not the forums. They're generally for support issues.

HQ:
Thank you for the fast replies.

I use rockbox to listen to audiobooks with long tracks and the bookmark feature is one of the main reasons i switched to it... it took a while though, to figure out the best combination of feature rich settings to work to my liking.... so don't give up too soon, if it doesn't seem to work out quite to you liking, "out of the box"....
