After H120 start change to USB mode (even no USB)
« on: March 08, 2009, 09:25:37 PM »
I just dropped my H120 onto the floor. Then there's this problem. After I press the play button, the player will start OK, but very soon after Rockbox is loaded, it changes to USB mode (although the player was not connected to computer through USB cable). I connected the player to my computer via USB cable, found the hard drive is good. Then I unplug the player from the computer, the player remains in USB mode.

Any idea how I can fix this problem?

Any hint is highly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Best

The H100 series players have a notorious problem with the daughter board that does the HDD and USB. Maybe dropping it caused poor connection that triggers these symptoms I seem to remember, the solution involves soldering - try some searches round here.

Thank you so much for these advices! I put some plastic foam between those two boards and fixed the problem!  ;D ;D ;D
