Broken Ribbon Cable- Gigabeat f10

I broke the ribbon cable on a gigabeat f10, is there any way to fix it with soldering or anything? The gigabeat surgery site showed nothing so has anyone done any thing of this sort on the board?

You're probably better off trying to find a new cable.
