Converting wikipedia dump to wwa and wwi

I have been following the Wikipedia and stardict flysprays recently. (4755 and 6697 respectively.)
I know how to patch the reader into rockbox, I think, but I am having trouble converting a wikipedia dump to wwa and wwi. Dict doesn't work because it doesn't split up the file and a 15 gb file can't go on a Fat32 device. I tried following the directions to convert the xml file to wwa but it doesn't work in cygwin and vmware doesn't have enough space to hold the file. Is there a way to increase the space allocated to vmware? Or is there another program I can use? I don't want to install a full linux package.

Do I need the workstation version? I just have the free one.
