Sansa e250R status bar
« on: March 04, 2009, 05:26:15 PM »
I recently installed v3. My system states I have ver r18607-3.xxxx.  I think is is the minimalist version without games and fonts etc.  Install was beautifully simple and easy. Even though this player is marked as a Rhapsody, it has MSC MTP options.  In any case the install worked, whatever it is.  This is a Woot refurb.

Is there a way to widen the status bar (or progress bar) and make it more visible? I've got some "senior" vision limitations, especially in daylight.  The little progress bar looks to be about 1mm thick with poor contrast of black against a medium blue field.  I'd like to have a wider 2-3mm thick progress bar in a contrasting color, white or yellow against the blue.  Most of the screen area on playback remains blank as I use this unit, though this may differ according to application.  Should I make a feature request on a different forum section?

I playback 95% MP3 voice WEBcasts and stream recordings cut to 30minute segments.

Thanks
Wil

Are you talking about the status bar (in the WPS or menus?) or the progress bar?

What is WPS?

I'm talking about the horizontal black bar on blue field on the playback screen showing title and tag. The bar that shows elapsed time of an audio file playback.

Please update to a current build. As well, it sounds like your theme is broken. Rockbox doesn't default to black text on a blue background any more, and hasn't since before 3.0. There is no "v3". I'm also not entirely sure why you chose to install 3.0 instead of the more recent 3.1 release, or a current version.

"WPS" refers to the "While Playing Screen." Basic terms like this are covered in the manual, which you really should read before asking questions about how to use the software.

Most themes here should work with either Rockbox 3.1 or the current build.

I'll repeat the question:

Sansa e250r
Is it possible to make the "whatever" bar (progress bar?)  wider than 1mm in the default graphic display, audio file playing BLACK progress bar on MEDIUM BLUE field, latest version of Rockbox available for above make-model.  Also is it possible to change "whatever" bar (progress bar) from black to white or yellow?

Just refer to the question or don't respond.

Why don't you stop repeating the question, since it's actually BEEN ANSWERED, and try doing what has been suggested (using other themes).

If you don't want to be helped, that's fine. But don't ignore help just because you don't understand that it's help. If you have questions about what we've suggested you do, fine, ask them. But they DO answer your question, and asking it again isn't going to do any good because they're still the answers you're looking for.
