5th gen 30GB + Rockbox compatible with Alpine headunit?

Did a search but could only find relevant threads from 2 years ago, thought something may have changed since then.

I've got an Alpine iDA-X100 headunit in my car, which has no CD player - just radio, iPod and USB. Works brilliantly. If i use Rockbox will it still work? Cheers!

This isn't a question about how to install Rockbox. Please try to read our guidelines in each area before posting.

As well, if your search didn't turn up anything, and it's not mentioned on the accessory protocol page where we ask everyone to put their experiences, you should just try it. By the time you've read this message you could've installed Rockbox, started your car, tried it, and if it didn't work, uninstalled Rockbox, and updated the page so others could know.

Make sure accessory power is on when you test.
If it works, turn off accessory power and test again.

    I didn't see it mentioned, but make sure you try a current version, not Stable 3.1. That tripped me up when I first tried Rockbox.

  And update the iPod Accessories page with the results of your testing too, good and bad. Let me know if you need help with that....
