30GB Ipod Video database undefined instruction

(1/1)

Bremang:
I restored my ipod in itunes.

Afterwards I installed rockbox and used mediamonkey to put music on my ipod, .flac, .wavs, ogg, ape, mpc's included....I tried to not compress these files if possible.

When trying to initialize the database, it seems find most of the files, and at the end i get the message:

Undefined Instruction at 00053E40 (0)

help please?

Looks like a bug.  I was told that problems initialising the database are mostly due to very long tags or tags that contain album art or strange characters.  Try to copy files on and off your device in clumps so that you can isolate which file/s is/are causing the problem, then file a bug report and attach the culprit file.

By the way, I think if you convert your .wavs to FLAC, you'll get better battery life, because the files are smaller so the disk doesn't have to spin up as much.  And of course FLAC is lossless, so you don't lose any quality.

EDIT: Ahh, but before all that, try a current build.  What version are you using now?
