What is the firmware version of the Sansa firmware?  If it is v3.xx.xx then it is a newer hardware revision and won't work.

There's a bug in the current Rockbox Utility windows version that causes this. This has been discussed here multiple times, so a simple search would have told you that. Anyway, either use the development build I announced a couple of days ago in this thread or the older version 1.0.7.
