Scrobbler.log not being generated

I just downloaded and installed Rockbox on my iPod 5g last weekend and enabled the last.fm log right off the bat.  Unfortunately when I went to scrobble it just now there is no .scrobbler.log file.  To enable I just chose yes on the last.fm log option and when told to reboot I pressed the select and menu buttons at the same time to reboot my iPod.  I've tried this multiple times and then listened to a couple of songs and checked for a scrobbler.log file, but none has ever showed up.

Is there some part of the process I'm missing here?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reboot means "shut down, and boot up", not "force a hard reboot by holding Menu + Select"
